Study Abroad in Adelaide, Australia with CMU at our Carnegie Mellon Australia campus!
Departmental Exchange Programs
Departmental Exchange Programs function similarly to University Exchange Programs, except that the exchange is department-to-department instead of university wide. These programs are based on faculty relationships between the two departments and have been evaluated for academic compatibility.
This is a reciprocal exchange program as Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College also receives students from the CMU Adelaide campus. This allows Carnegie Mellon students to build friendships with students both prior to and during the study abroad experience, providing a true cultural exchange.
Important Billing Information
Carnegie Mellon students participating in Departmental Exchange Programs continue to pay tuition directly to their Carnegie Mellon home campus; and receive, in most cases, the same financial aid package. Students are responsible for paying all other fees (such as room and board) directly to campus abroad, as well as airfare to and from the program.
Application Process
Students interested in a Departmental Exchange will not apply through the Office of International Education, but through the department. Students should reach out to the appropriate departmental contact, listed below, to receive information about the application process:
