Program Overview

Spend your summer studying abroad in Japan's mega-metropolis capital, Tokyo! Known for its outstanding modern and avant-garde features, Tokyo is the ideal place to spend six weeks exploring Japan's treasures while taking two courses in Japanese language, art, business, communications, history, pop culture, religion, or society.

Conveniently located in the center of the city, CIEE Tokyo is surrounded by Japan's economic and educational hub, making it the perfect place to live and learn abroad. A city like no other, Tokyo constantly reinvents itself. Explore how limited space has been innovatively utilized and indulge in the astounding variety of shopping and entertainment options. Throughout the city, you’ll encounter exceptional hospitality – from attentive shop clerks offering top-notch service to high-speed trains that conveniently connect you to nearby destinations like Tohoku, Kyoto, and beyond.
