Research Projects for TUM PREP
Research Projects for TUM PREP 2022
I am happy to announce that we will relaunch
TUM PREP in summer 2022 and all research projects offered for the summer 2022 are now available via the
TUM PREP Website.
Please note the new program dates;
TUM PREP will start on July 4, 2022 and will end on September 2, 2022.
For TUM PREP 2022, students can choose between a large variety of about 50 interesting research projects at our various university chairs, so that each student will find the perfect fit.
TUM PREP projects are offered by many different departments / Schools from 5 different TUM campuses:
- Computation, Information &Technology (CIT)
- Engineering & Design (ED)
- Natural Sciences (NAT)
- Life Sciences (LS)
- Medicine & Health (MH)
- Management (MGT)Also for students outside of the engineering and natural sciences fields there is a lot to choose from. They can do research in our departments of Architecture, Management, Sport and Health Sciences and Management.
Additionally, there are for the first time projects offered at our new TUM Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability.
Via the online TUM PREP Project Database it is easy to browse the different projects. Students can search for one of the TUM departments / Schools, but also for keywords like the academic fields the respective project supervisors are looking for. This encourages students to also choose projects in a different field/ department / School than their study focus at the home university.
Applications for TUM PREP 2022
The application period for TUM PREP via our online application platform
will open on Friday, October 1, 2021. Students will find the link to the online platform on the TUM PREP Website.
Please note that all students must have uploaded their documents online and
submit their application latest by Sunday, November 21, 2021. Also their professors should send the students’ recommendation letters until this deadline.
After receiving the applications, we will try to place students in their projects of choice, and plan to finish the selection process by late January 2022. Students will be informed about their admission to the program between mid-December 2021 and end of January 2022 and should check their e-mails (also spam folders) regularly. In any case, we will certainly keep you updated as well.
Best wishes from Munich,
Sandra
