Research Projects for TUM PREP

As of July 2020, TUM PREP 2021 has been postponed due to COVID-19 affecting Summer planning

Research projects for the Summer 2022 program will be posted on their website.

Projects that have been offered, previously, in all of 15 departments:
  • Aerospace and Geodesy
  • Architecture
  • Chemistry
  • Civil, Geo and Environmental Engineering
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Informatics (including Computer Sciences)
  • Mathematics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Physics
  • Sport and Health Sciences
  • TUM School of Education
  • TUM School of Governance
  • TUM School of Life Sciences Weihenstephan
  • TUM School of Management (including Economics and Business Studies)
  • TUM School of Medicine
For students outside of the engineering and natural sciences fields, research is available in TUM's Departments of Architecture, Management, Sport and Health Sciences, as well as the TUM School of Governance and in our Education department.

Via the new online TUM PREP Project Database it is easy to browse the different projects. Students can search for one of the TUM departments, but also for keywords like the academic fields the respective project supervisors are looking for. This encourages students to also choose projects in a different field/ department than their study focus at the home university.

Applications for TUM PREP - link via the online platform on the TUM PREP Website.

After receiving the applications, we will try to place students in their projects of choice, and plan to finish the selection process by late January for the upcoming Summer term. Students will be informed about their admission to the program between mid-December and end of January, and should check their e-mails (also spam folders!) regularly. In any case, we will certainly keep you updated as well.

Thank you for spreading the word about the TUM PREP application and feel free to use the information attached (also new flyers) to promote TUM PREP at your university.

If you should have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.  Best wishes from Munich,

--
