Program Overview

Your January in Singapore program lasts 3 weeks and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in one CIEE course taught at CIEE Singapore. Enhance your experience with extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Singaporean culture. Live and learn in Singapore!

Students live in a 3-star hotel for international students in a location accessible to public transportation. Singapore is a small city and major attractions are within easy reach via public transit. Commuting around the island nation takes about 60 minutesvia public transportation

Activities

CIEE's excursions and cultural activities in Singapore will open doors for you to explore Singapore's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad. ? ??

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Visit Sentosa Island and learn about WWII battles in this strategic region
  • Discover the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve trail, the only primary forest in Singapore
  • Explore Malay, Chinese, Arabic, and Indian cultures and religions

Academics

CIEE Singapore:?Conveniently located in the southwestern part of the city, CIEE Singapore boasts three classrooms, and a meeting room used for studying, academic advising, and student life support. Students will find several restaurants, a supermarket, and a mall near CIEE Singapore.

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
